Refund & Cancellation Policy – Comparitech

This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines the terms under which refunds may be granted for purchases made through Comparitech. As we sell digital software licenses (non-returnable goods), certain restrictions apply. By making a purchase, you acknowledge and agree to the conditions below.

1. Digital Product Nature

Comparitech sells digital antivirus licenses and activation keys. Once a key has been delivered, activated, or viewed, it cannot be returned, revoked, or resold. For this reason, digital products are treated differently from physical goods.

2. Refund Eligibility

A refund may be issued only under the following conditions:

The delivered license key is invalid or does not activate the product
You received a different product than the one you ordered
You were charged twice due to a duplicate order
The key has not been activated, used, or exposed

All refund requests must be submitted within 48 hours of purchase along with screenshots or proof of the issue.

3. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will NOT be issued under the following conditions:

You purchased the wrong product by mistake
You changed your mind after receiving the license
You fail to meet system requirements
You claim activation issues without providing proof
You attempt to claim a refund after using the key
Issues caused by viruses, system corruption, or unrelated software conflicts

4. Order Cancellation

Orders may be cancelled before a license key is delivered. Once the digital key has been emailed, order cancellation is no longer possible.

5. Replacement Policy

In some cases, instead of a refund, we may provide:

A new working activation key
An equivalent or higher version of the same product
Alternative valid solution when applicable

6. Delivery Issues

If you did not receive your product due to email issues, spam filtering, or incorrect email entry, we will resend the product at no additional charge.

7. Chargeback Policy

Fraudulent chargebacks are strictly prohibited. If a chargeback is filed after receiving a working digital key:

Your license may be revoked
Your account may be banned
Evidence will be provided to the payment processor
